Risk Management and the Recession

2:00 - 3:30 p.m. 10/30/2019
Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida

Good times never last forever, and this economic expansion may be tottering. In fact, most economists see the US falling in to a recession by 2020. Risk Alternatives will help you examine what your nonprofit should be doing today to prepare for the risk of a possible recession. Key discussion topics include how you can: Perform a Risk Inventory to evaluate the threats and opportunities facing your organization; Review Your Financials from 2007-10 to look back on old planning and performance documents and review how your nonprofit responded in the past to fluctuations in demand and financial strains; Build Reserves by reaching out to major donors now to ask for additional funds "just in case"; and Consider Less Aggressive Budgeting.

Join Ted Bilich and Linda Lenrow Lopez of Risk Alternatives, for a high-energy, hands-on, session that provides seasoned nonprofit leaders, board members, and staff with a solid understanding of what they can do – immediately – to be more resilient and sustainable in the face of uncertainty.
