Board Governance & Fundraising Overview with Chuck Loring - Nassau

Ready for your Board to be inspired, engaged, and "on board" with their roles and responsibilities? Back by popular demand, this year we’re offering the opportunity to attend this day-long presentation with Chuck Loring! It’s packed with practical and applicable information and take-away exercises for board development and engagement in fundraising. Among the topics covered: defining Board roles and responsibilities, optimal Board structure, best practices for recruitment and Board building, and ways to help Boards come to terms with their fund development responsibilities.

This workshop is a great way to orient a new Board member or revive your current Board. It is appropriate for all nonprofit organizations’ CEOs/EDs, key staff, and Board members. We recommend attending this workshop with a team of staff and Board members.


$50 per person (including board members).

Non Members:
$100 per person; $90 per each additional nonmember if you are registering a group.

Fees include a light breakfast, lunch, worksheets and program materials, parking, beverages, and afternoon snacks.

About the presenter:
Chuck V. Loring, CFRE is the senior partner of Loring, Sternberg, & Associates, which provides fundraising and governance consulting services to nonprofits. He is also a senior governance associate for BoardSource, offering expertise in board development and other governance issues to nonprofit boards across the country. Loring has worked with hundreds of nonprofits across the country and such prominent national charities as Feed America, Easter Seals, Boys and Girls Clubs, Special Olympics, and YMCA.
